Cost Assessment Phase:

We will also interview your key stakeholders and technical staff to understand your business goals, challenges, and requirements. We will then provide you with a detailed assessment report, which will include the following. This phase takes 3-7 days.
- A summary of your current Azure environment, including the number, type, size, and location of your Azure resources, as well as their usage, spending, and performance patterns and trends.
- A breakdown of your Azure spending by resource group, service, region, and subscription, as well as by cost center, project, or application, if applicable.
- A list of potential issues, risks, and inefficiencies in your Azure environment, such as overprovisioned, underutilized, or idle resources, untagged or misconfigured resources, security vulnerabilities, or performance bottlenecks.
- A list of recommendations and actions to optimize your Azure environment, based on the best practices and standards of Azure, as well as your business goals and requirements. The recommendations and actions will cover various aspects of Azure optimization, such as resizing, deleting, or consolidating resources, applying tags and policies, enabling auto-scaling and automation, switching to reserved instances or spot instances, and migrating to Azure services that offer more value and efficiency.
- A projection of the expected cost savings from implementing the recommendations and actions, as well as the estimated time and effort required for each recommendation and action.
- A prioritization and categorization of the recommendations and actions, based on their impact, urgency, and feasibility.
Optimization Phase:
The Optimization phase is done in partnership with your team. This provides them with learning experience so that they can manage the ongoing cost. We implement the following. This phase takes 7-10 days.
- Implement agreed-upon recommendations and actions to optimize your Azure environment, based on the findings and insights from the assessment phase.
- Implement various methods and techniques to optimize the cost:
- Resizing, deleting, or consolidating resources
- Applying tags and policies
- Enabling auto-scaling and automation
- Switching to reserved instances or spot instances
- Migrating to Azure services that offer more value and efficiency.
- We follow the best practices and standards of Azure, as well as your business goals and requirements, to ensure that your Azure environment is optimized for cost, performance, security, and scalability.
- Implement Azure policies (Guard rails) so that the team members will need leadership approval to deploy high-cost Azure resources.
- Implement cost alerts to monitor usage and spending so that you can alert when the cost exceeds the specified threshold.
- Provide regular updates and feedback on the progress and status of the optimization phase, as well as any issues or challenges that may arise.
- Conduct quality assurance and testing to ensure that the optimization phase is completed successfully and without any errors or disruptions.
Validation Phase:
- We will monitor and measure the results and outcomes of the optimization phase, using metrics such as cost savings, performance improvement, and customer satisfaction. We will compare the before and after scenarios of your Azure environment, using tools such as Azure Cost Management, Azure Monitor, and Azure Advisor, to quantify and validate the impact and value of the optimization phase. We will also solicit your feedback and input on the optimization phase, to ensure that it meets your expectations and requirements. We will then provide you with a detailed validation report, which will include the following. This phase takes 10-15 days.
- Summary of the optimization phase, including the objectives, scope, deliverables, and timeline of the phase, as well as the methods and techniques used for the optimization.
- A comparison of the before and after scenarios of your Azure environment, including the changes and improvements in your Azure resources, usage, spending, and performance, as well as the cost savings and performance improvement achieved from the optimization.
- A feedback and evaluation of the optimization phase, including your satisfaction and experience with the optimization phase, as well as any issues or challenges that may have occurred during the phase.
- A list of best practices and tips for maintaining and enhancing your Azure environment, as well as any suggestions or recommendations for further optimization or improvement.
- Training or education for your staff or users on how to use or manage your Azure environment, or any other Azure services or features.
